i'll be back. to vietnam that is. still so much that i've yet to see and experience. dalat and esp the war sites. anyone thinking of gg vietnam, pls let me know! also i need to go back to buy my helmet. there's just so many cute and funky helmets ard i didnt noe which to choose! not so much for use but more as decor lah. anyway this was a pretty good trip, it kinda being the first trip with brother and sis in-law (bintan doesnt count). relaxing it was, not much shopping, with lots of spring rolls and coffee. lots and lots and lots of coffee. i think with this trip, i've reached my quota for the entire year. and its interesting how coffee is more favoured. you see vietnamese having their coffee in joints with loud music and lavish interior, and others having their beers at roadside stalls. and with brother's vietnamese fren bringing us ard the city, you could really see the disparity between the rich and the poor. quite heart wrenching to see some nursing their baby while making a living under the hot sun and polluted traffic. but even so, the simple lifestyle and friendly locals gives me ideas abt living there, semi-permanently. not to mention the freedom of jetting around in my own scooter. all set in that fav helmet(s) i've had my eyes on.
